Earth Goddess Oil

This formulation, one of our original recipes, is a potent, deeply concentrated hair and body oil, enriched with woodsy roots and flowers delicately fermented over time. It blends botanicals rich in skin repairing constituents and hair growth boosters.  Rich yet light enough to absorb quickly into the skin. Ideal for any skin repair, but especially for stretch marks, scars and wrinkles. Can be used as a nightly oil for drier or mature skins.  

Nutmeg was once so highly prized it was considered a sign of ultimate status and wealth to carry a handful around with you alongside miniature silver nutmeg graters so you could grate it on your food and beverages.  Its one of the key ingredients in our Earth Goddess Oil.  

The Ritual:

Skin: After cleansing the face, gently shake the bottle and apply one pump of oil to the skin.  For spot areas massage the oil in using small circles. Ideal for any skin repair, but especially for stretch marks, scars and wrinkles.  

Hair: On wet hair apply two to three pumps and massage all over the head, into the scalp and down to the ends of the hair. Leave for an hour and wash out. This is an incredible hair oil mask treatment and can help with scalp health.  If you don’t mind ruining the label, you could also place the bottle into warmed water (not to hot or you will scald the oil) for about ten to fifteen minutes to heat slightly, making the oil better able to absorb into the hair. 

Active Botanicals:

Rosehip oil is rich in Vitamin C, A and has a comedogenic rating of one. Vitamin C can target free radical damage and premature ageing as well as pigmentation, and promoting healthy skin cell turnover for bright and even skin tone. Rosehip Oil is naturally high in Vitamin A in the form of Beta-Carotene, which is ideal for sensitive skin types as it is easily absorbed and works as a gentle antioxidant to help brighten skin tone and help protect skin from environmental damage. 

Pumpkin Seed Oil has a comodogenic rating of two which can clog some skin types however it’s is also very high in zinc and natural selenium which help oily skin to look much more healthy and clean.  The zinc as well as Vitamin C in this oil help to firm and tighten skin as well.   The great key essential fatty acids in pumpkin seeds incline deeply onto the skin to provide a long lasting moisturization without any greasiness. Not only that, these acids will also help to balance the level of oil while moisturizing dry skin and controlling oily skin.
